This diagrammatic reconstruction drew on data from the dramatic discovery of fossilized remains in numerous undisclosed places of worship throughout England.
For the Reverend of one of these churches, the discovery came as quite a shock: "I didn't know that Mrs.X was dead: she made every appearance of being our most faithful attendee at services. She was like part of the furniture. We'll miss her."
Striking in the poses discovered in the dead was the lack of any found prostrated or kneeling in worship. Dr.Y explains: "It must be admitted that this reconstruction of the evolution of a worshipper, having been drawn from those found dead, does have a flaw. It has been proposed that those who are inclined to kneel or prostrate themselves before their God are not likely to be located in places of worship where dead people go unoticed."
